Rosalia
Rosalia Vila, also known as Rosalia Rosaly, is an Spanish singer of flamenco. Since she was a teenager Rosalia has explored the fringes of pop and traditional music. Flamenco guitarist Pepe habichuela described her voice as delicate and sharp, but still featuring the sharpness of older singers. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist the follow-up album for 2018 El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough topping Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and ultimately receiving the Grammy. The single La Fama featuring the Weeknd appeared in 2021. Motomami, her third album, featured songwriting collaborations between Cory Henry and James Blake. The album was released in on March 20, 2022 following the Saturday Night Live performance featuring the track Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the very first Spanish artist to appear alone on the popular program. Motomami was the only female ever to be the winner of the Latin Album of the Year two times and also the three Latin Grammy Awards.
